In the first series, it was masterfully presented by Jonathan Ross, and the second and third seasons after that were presented by Penn And Teller— Fool Us a Host Hannigan.
Each episode starts off with an introduction that explains the purpose of the series. Penn & Teller come out and take their seats towards center stage, and eager magicians will perform their act in front of them with an audience in the studio. Following each show, Penn & Teller privately talk while the host interview the magicians. Penn & Teller then reveal their knowledge of the method used to perform the trick, usually using cryptic words or by recording the technique and then presenting it to the magicians for confirmation, so they won’t be divulging the secrets behind the trick.

Ten Times Penn and Teller Made An Error
Fool Us was filmed at Fountain Studios in London, England (season one) as well as the Penn and Teller Theatre located in Las Vegas (season two onward). Each time a show is performed, if Penn & Teller cannot figure out how a trick was performed, and the magician(s) that performed it get a Fool Us trophy and a five-star trip to Las Vegas to perform as the opening act for the show of Penn & Teller, which is also held at The Rio Hotel & Casino. The eleventh season began on October 16, 2021.
Teller says that the doublespeak is a way to teach people new techniques without ruining the trick. Should Penn & Teller are wrong, or cannot find out the method used to perform the trick, the magician wins a Fool Us trophy and the chance to perform again in one of Penn and Teller’s Las Vegas shows. A backstage judge who is well-versed in the tricks of the magic industry and privately informed how the trick is done before the performance, makes any important calls as to whether Penn & Teller were properly fooled. In the final moments of every program, Penn & Teller perform a magic act on their own.
Penn and Teller have a friendly rapport with the magicians who appear during their program. They host the show with Penn and Teller. tasks were temporarily handled by Jonathan Ross in the first season, but they returned to host the show from season two onward. Pennand Teller: Fool Us was filmed on Fountain Studios in London, England during its initial season, before it moved onto the Penn & Teller Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada for the second season and beyond.

Even though they remain speechless and in motion throughout the duration of the show, Penn & Teller may communicate with each with subtle gestures. They also may communicate with the magician who is performing and ask for them to repeat a specific action or provide more information.
