Why hire a professional?

HOW TO SPOT A NON-PROFESSIONAL - SOME POSSIBLE TELL TALE SIGNS;

*Potentially a non-professional face painter may be significantly cheaper than a professional one, they may be working for a cash in hand fee which is why they can charge less as they do not have the same overheads to consider and/or may not be registered as an actual business with the inland revenue.

* A non-professional might not have public liabilities insurance or a CRB (police) check, potentially putting both your event and your clients at risk. Ask your entertainer if they have one and if you could see a copy, beware if you find them evasive they refuse to produce one or simply say that one isnt really needed.

* Often (with the odd exception due to time limits for example an on the day booking) a professional will issue you with a written booking form/contract when you book an event, this is not just to cover themselves but it also gives you useful information and details what you want and expect for your money.
They will also be happy to issue you with an invoice or reciept should you require one, it is often useful to mention this at the time of booking.

SO WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE?



PROFESSIONALS use quality products made for skin, which wipe off with water. Beginners use cheaper paints, acrylics, or pens, which stain or damage skin. NB: ACRYLIC & FINGER PAINT ARE NOT FOR FACES.

Did you know craft glitter is tiny razor-sharp metal flakes which can scar eye-balls? A professional face painter would, and only uses cosmetic glitters.

Professionals have strict hygiene guidelines, e.g. using a clean sponge per face; amateurs often have dirty kits, filthy water and one sponge which is used on every client all day.
Professionals are fully insured and keep up to date with training, products and procedures.

Professionals can produce beautiful faces in around five minutes, meaning we paint over 3 times as many people as most amateurs - we give more value for money.

We are used to working with big crowds or small, queues will not faze us.

I have worked beside others who were painting for free, and still had a queue all day who would rather wait, and pay for me, than go to the others.

At Fun Faces we try to plan for every eventuality and as a company work to the highest health and safety standards.
However are you aware that unlike most companies few entertainers have a registered first aider at hand should an accident occur, here at fun faces your happiness and safety are just as important as our standard of quality, fun and entertainment factor, which is why Michelle and Michelle are hold up to date first aid certificates and all our entertainers are insured and CRB registered (police checked)

Fun Faces entertainers/face painters/balloon modellers usually arrive smartly dressed however we can come dressed in costume or if you would like us to wear a t-shirt with your logo we will be happy to do so.

For us It was a truly rewarding fun filled day;
For Adams party organization started weeks ago as do many of our birthday parties but this was with a little different as we were not only providing the entertainment but also decorating the hall providing tableware around a Cebebiees theme and catering.
